Abstract Ethanol steam reforming was studied over Ni supported catalysts. The effects of support (Al 2 O 3 , Al –ZnO, and –CeO ), metal loading, catalyst activation method, steam-to-ethanol molar feed ratio were investigated. properties catalysts by N physisorption, TPD-CO X-ray diffraction, temperature programmed reduction. After activity tests, the analyzed TOC analysis. catalytic measurements showed that addition either ZnO SSor CeO to alumina enhances both ethanol conversion promotes selectivity towards hydrogen formation. same observed for with higher loadings.
